Growing up frequenting the traditional Chinese confectionery shops and Hainanese coffeeshops that are abundant in Malaysia’s old town of Ipoh, it is such teatime treats from home that inspired The Cooking Auntie. Inspired by the iconic Seremban Siu Bao (芙蓉烧包) from Malaysia, ours is a golden, flaky pastry with a rich, savory filling. Instead of the usual pork, we’ve given it a delicious twist with our signature BBQ chicken—tender, flavorful, and wrapped in buttery layers of pastry that melt in your mouth.

Kaya




Discover the rich, nostalgic flavors of our handcrafted Pandan Kaya and Traditional Hainanese Kaya. Made in small batches with fresh coconut milk, farm eggs, and fragrant pandan, our creamy coconut jam is the perfect pair to breakfast toasts. Whether you love the floral notes of pandan or the deep caramel tones of traditional Hainanese kaya, every spoonful is smooth (I mean really smooth), aromatic, and made with care—just like how Auntie used to make it. Nyonya Kuih



Our Nyonya kuihs such as Kuih Kosui (碗仔糕) and Angku Kuih (红龟粿) are made with natural ingredients for color and flavorings – such as pandan leaves, coconut sugar and orange sweet potatoes. All are carefully handcrafted the traditional way. Special order required ahead of time, with a minimum order of 40 pcs.
